1)      Play and friendship for children with disability - eParent

https://www.eparent.com/features-3/play-and-friendship-for-children-with-disability/

Making friends, playing and getting along with other children are good for all children, including child with disabilities. Learn how to support children as they learn how to play and develop friendships.

2)      Promoting Emotional Intelligence in Preschool Education

A recent article in the International Journal of Emotional Education (November 2018) analyzed four social-emotional learning programs (Preschools PATHS, Incredible Years, Al’s Pals, and Preschool RULER) that revealed positive evidence-based outcomes for preschoolers. To better understand the programs, researchers first examined emotional intelligence for preschoolers and its link to outcomes in school engagement, social adjustment, emotional regulation, and academic success. Then, comparisons were made between the programs' objectives, delivery, intervention strategies, and adaptability across cultures.

3)      MS-PTI and Disability Rights:  Parent Advocacy Academy-Gulfport

Having a child with a disability can be challenging. Your child’s IEP and how to monitor progress can be confusing. How to be the best advocate for your child, the importance of communication and how to resolve conflicts are important pieces of this puzzle. Join us for one of our advocacy academies designed to provide you with the tools to understand the special education process and strengthen your advocacy skills.
